An Ironton man was sent to prison for being in possession of stolen items, while others paid the price for violating their probation Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Mark Fritz, 29, of 95 Private Drive 1358, was sentenced to nine months in prison for each of three counts of fifth-degree receiving stolen property, to which he previously pleaded guilty.

Judge Charles Cooper ordered that the sentences be served concurrently.

Sarah Barton, 25, of 160 Township Road 508, Ironton, admitted community control sanctions violations and was sentenced to four months in prison by Judge D. Scott Bowling.

Roy Sprouse, 37, of 412 Ninth St., Ironton, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Donald Sharp, 34, of 309 Second Ave., Chesapeake, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to the STAR Community Justice Center. His probation was also extended.

Chancie Berry, 19, of 95 Private Drive 2404, Kitts Hill, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of breaking and entering. Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS under intensive supervised probation, STAR and 200 hours community service.

Earl White, 37, of 411 Mill St., Ironton, was arraigned on a bill of information of fifth-degree failure to notify change of address, to which he pleaded not guilty. Cooper continued bond from a lower court and set a pretrial for July 2.

Anthony White, 48, of 506 Walnut St., Ironton, was sentenced to four years CCS/ISP for a fourth-degree count of trafficking in drugs, to which he previously pleaded guilty. Cooper also ordered the man to pay a $2,500 fine and suspended his driver’s license for six months.
