Monday evening, Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless declared a level 2 snow emergency.

“The roads are snow and ice covered, and conditions will worsen overnight. Please do not get out on the roads unless it is absolutely necessary. Check with your employer and see if it’s necessary for you to report to work” Sheriff Jeff Lawless said.

Forecasts call for snow to fall throughout the night and much of the day Thursday and highs in the mid 20’s.
