CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — With so much talent on display, it only seemed fitting that the two states split their all-star games.

The 24th annual Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Games on Saturday at St. Thomas More College resulted in the Ohio girls posting a 90-80 win while the Kentucky boys came back for a 105-76 win.

Ohio built a 44-35 halftime lead and played virtually even in the second half by outscoring Kentucky 46-45.

St. Joseph Female Flyers’ Hannah Miller scored six points including a 3-point goal. The Shawnee State recruit was one of three Ohio players with a 3-ball.

Miller was also a member of the Ohio 3-on-3 team that beat Kentucky in Friday’s skills competition.

Ohio was led by Centerville’s Shannon Coffee ­— a Stanford recruit — who had 19 points. Other than Coffee who was the only player in double figures, Ohio had balanced scoring as 15 of the 16 players scored.

Alexis Robinson of Ashland had 15 points and Logan Fraley of Boyd County scored nine points for Kentucky.

Kentucky-bound Morgan Rich of Allen County added 10 points.

Kentucky used a big second half to win the boys’ game. Ohio trailed just 48-41 at the half but Kentucky went on a 57-35 blitz after the break.

Northwest’s Drew Scarberry had six points for Ohio while Peebles Beau Justice scored 10 points including two of Ohio’s 11 shots from behind the 3-point arc.

Terrell Grey of Doss led Kentucky with 21 points and Evan Hall of Knock County scored 17 as five players reached double figures.
