JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. — Earlier this week, Dawson-Bryant bus drivers collected money and supplies for victims of the flooding in Johnson County, Kentucky. On Tuesday, they were off to deliver the items.

“We loaded a 16-foot box truck top to bottom with supplies,” bus driver Cindy Pauley, said. “We had a lot of people in and out of the bus garage yesterday (Monday) donating supplies. A lot of churches and businesses donated money as well.”

Pauley said a group of drivers took the donated money and shopped for supplies to take to Kentucky.

Some of the supplies taken to the flood victims were cleaning supplies, shovels, baby supplies, blankets and pillows.

The truck arrived to Johnson Central High School Tuesday morning around 9:30 where a makeshift store was set up.

The effort was started by driver Kim Hankins with Coal Grove superintendent Steve Easterling also giving his support.
