The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings put 10 players in the scoring column in a 57-22 Southern Ohio Conference win on Thursday.

“We got to play a lot of players and everyone contributed. Its always good to get a win,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Alvin Carpenter.

Jensyn Shepherd scored 6 of her 8 points in the first quarter as Symmes Valley jumped in front 17-3.

Kaitlyn Payne scored 7 points in the second quarter as the Lady Vikings opened up a 32-11 lead. Leslie Gallion hit a pair of 3-pointers for Green.

The Symmes Valley defense held Green to just 3 points again in the third quarter to build a 47-14 cushion.

Payne had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lady Vikings (7-6, 6-2). Meranda Hayes added 10 points and 4 steals and Caitlyn Crabtree had 8 rebounds.

Gallion had 8 points to lead Green.

Symmes Valley hosts Coal Grove at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
