PEDRO — It’s getting better all the time for the Rock Hill Redwomen.
The Redwomen continued their improved play as they won the Ohio Valley Conference volleyball game over the Portsmouth Lady Trojans on Tuesday in straight sets, 25-18, 25-14 and 25-20.
“We played better against Gallipolis the other day even though we didn’t win and it carried over,” said Rock Hill coach Jerry Gregg.
“The girls played well. Shay Cox gave us a big lift with her serves, Sam Stamper played great defense and Whitney Howard did a nice job as our setter.”
Autumn Porter turned in a big game with 11 kills and three stuff blocks. Katie Arthur also had three stuff blocks to go with eight kills.
Cox had nine aces with six coming in the second set. Stamper had eight kills.
Rock Hill visits South Point on Thursday.
