RUSSELL, Ky. — Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) will host a free health fair for men from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 on the third floor of Bellefonte Centre, 1000 Ashland Drive at Bellefonte Urological Associates on the hospital campus in Russell.

The free health screenings set for OLBH Men’s Health Day include:

• Prostate screenings

• PSA bloodwork

• Cholesterol screenings

• Glucose tests

• Blood pressure checks

Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men. In 2018, the United States had 164,690 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed according to the American Cancer Society. Approximately one in every nine men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Early prostate cancer has no symptoms, which is why screening is important.
