Meet the Candidates

The Concerned Citizens of Burlington will host a Meet the Candidates event for the primary election at 6 p.m. at Burlington Elementary.

Planning Commission Meeting

The Lawrence County Regional Planning Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting 11 a.m. at the Giovanni’s in Chesapeake.

DD Town Hall

The Lawrence County Friends of DD will have a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. in Ohio University Southern’s Riffe Building. Under discussion will be the role of the agency in the county and the levy which will be on the March 17 ballot.

BOE Work Session

The Ironton City Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the administration building for a work session. The purpose of the Work Session is to discuss the strategic plan, budget, vision and goals.

Lodge Meeting

Lawrence Lodge No. 198 F.&A.M. monthly stated meeting. Refreshments at 6:30 p.m., meeting at 7 p.m. Cody Crawford, W.M.

COG Meeting

The Lawrence County Schools Insurance COG will meet at 9 a.m. at the ESC office, 304 N. Second St., Ironton.

Fairland BOE Special Meeting

The Fairland Local Board of Education will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. at Fairland High School regarding personnel.

Board of Elections Meeting

The Lawrence County Board of Elections will meet at noon at its office in the courthouse.

Dawson-Bryant Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. at the Dawson-Bryant Board of Education offices.

ESC Meeting

The Lawrence County Educational Service Center will meet in regular session at 2 p.m. at the Lawrence County Educational Service Center, 304 North Second Street, Ironton.

RHPC Meeting

River Hills Prevention Connection will host their monthly meeting at 3:30 p.m. in the Caucus Room at Ohio University Southern.

Longaberger Basket Bingo

A vintage Longaberger Basket bingo fundraiser to benefit Honor Flight Huntington at HIMG, enter in back at Door P. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., games start promptly at 6 p.m. $20 for 20 games. Ironton City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in council chambers on the third floor of the Ironton City Center. It is open to the public.

Harvest fundraiser

Harvest for the Hungry will be celebrating National Pig Day with a soup and grilled cheese fundraiser from noon-2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, located at 101 N. Fifth St. in Ironton. Suggested donation of $3.50.

The Chesapeake Village Council will meet at 7 p.m. at village hall.

The South Point Council will meet at 7 p.m. at village hall.

IHS Class of 1948 Lunch

Ironton High School Class of 1948 will meet for lunch at noon at The Depot in Ironton. All class members and guests are invited.
