PINE GROVE — The weekly meeting of the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club was Tuesday morning with Cecilia Woods serving as hostess.

Following her homemade refreshments, Woods announced the golf groups, events and where everyone would tee off. Most chose to ride golf carts due to the very humid and sultry day.

Betty Fraley displayed her talents with scrapbooking for the association and continues to arrange to have photographs taken to remember these fun days.

Various scrapbooks of past years and former members remain on display in the ladies locker room.

Judy Brose joined the members for lunch and brought a variety of desserts that all enjoyed. The group also enjoyed fresh garden products of ICC staff member Ed Eldridge. Woods then announced the winner of the morning events: Jane Mains, Kathy Fraley, Jami Dyer and Betty Fraley.

It was also announced that Johnna Jones was one of last week’s winners.

Hostess for this week will be Pat Riggs. New members continue to be welcomed along with those who want to just join the ladies for lunch.

Golf meetings are at 9 a.m. each Tuesday followed by golf at 9:30.
