“Chelsea did a nice job for her first game,” said Rock Hill coach. “South Gallia was good defensive and they hit the ball. We played well defensively, we just need to get our bats going.”

Rock Hill scored quickly with two runs in first inning.

Courtney Duncan walked and stole second base, Harper singled and stole second, and Jazel DeAutremont hit into a fielder’s choice as a run scored.

Kassie Large then put down a squeeze bunt to score Harper.

The Redwomen got an insurance run in the third. Harper walked, DeAutremont singled to put runners on the corner, and then Harper scored on an error.

Rock Hill (3-3) hosts Fairland on Friday.
