Titans used fast start to turn back Flyers

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Notre Dame Titans built a 12-point halftime lead and went on to beat the St. Joseph Flyes 57-36 on Wednesday.

The Titans (8-1) led 14-7 after the first quarter and 29-17 at the half. They continued to build on their lead in the third quarter by outscoring the Flyers 17-10 to make it 46-27.

Justin Mahlmeister and Eli Lewis scored 12 points each to lead St. Joseph (3-6).

The Titans were led by Kevin Lewis and J.P. Kayser with 14 pints each.

The Flyers host New Boston on Saturday.
