ASHLAND, Ky. — Kendall Dodgion made quite a splash.

Swimming last week in the Kentucky Y Competitive Swim League Championship meet at the YMCA, Dodgion splashed her way to four gold medals.

Dodgion, 6, a student at Ironton Elementary, was competing in a field of 500 swimmers from 10 different YMCA teams throughout the state. The meet was held Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6.

Dodgion claimed first place in the backstroke, the breaststroke, the butterfly and in the freestyle event.

Not only did Dodgion win four medals, she was presented the high point award for the meet.

Kendall was a starter on the AAY swim team last September.
