Riley Schreck and Lexie Arden shot them up while the defense shot them down.
Arden scored a game-high 19 points, Schreck hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 points and the defense clamped down as the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers rolled past the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers 49-30 on Wednesday.
Lexi Wise also had 11 points as Ironton improved to 9-3.
Julia Hall scored eight and Alysia Cunningham seven for Chillicothe (3-10).
Daelyn Fry scored all six of her points in the first quarter and Zoe Ford hit a 3-pointer as Chillicothe took an 11-8 lead.
Schreck hit a pair of trifectas and Arden added a basket for Ironton’s points.
The defense held Chillicothe to seven points in the second quarter while Arden scored seven points and Wise five more and the Lady Fighting Tigers were up 22-18 at the half.
Ironton’s defense was even stingier in the third quarter as the Lady Cavaliers managed only three points.
Wise scored six points, Arden four and Schreck buried another triple as the lead grew to 37-21.
Arden scored six points more in the fourth quarter as Ironton outscored Chillicothe 12-9. Hall hit a 3-pointer and made two foul shots for the Lady Cavaliers.
Ironton hosts Portsmouth on Thursday.
