It was a good match, but not as good as the Ironton Fighting Tigers’ tennis team hoped for.
Ironton dropped a match to the Portsmouth West Senators 3-2 on Tuesday.
Ironton got wins from No. 3 singles player Ali White and No. 2 doubles team Todd Davidson and Ethen Bennett.
Suffering losses were No. 1 single player Aiden White, No. 2 single player Jaxson Pleasant and No. 1 doubles team Elena Wilson and Sierra Vallance.
The Fighting Tigers play at Lucasville Valley on Wednesday and Portsmouth Notre Dame on Thursday.
