The Friends of Ironton will host a variety of activities this Memorial Day weekend.

On Saturday, Battle of the Bands will be at the Ro-Na Theater with bands “Tailgate” and “Down in Round Three” competing. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free. The crowd will determine the winner and the winning band will play at the Memorial Music and Fireworks Festival Sunday and on the main stage of the Rally on the River.

Beginning at 4 p.m. on Sunday, the first Memorial Music and Fireworks Festival will take place at the Center Street landing. Food and live music a will be available at the festival. Fireworks will begin at around 9:30 p.m.

Battle of the Bands will continue into the summer with other competitions on June 20 and July 18.
